Took a long walk down Geary street to visit Cards and Comics Central, 5424 Geary Blvd. I love that place. It is a comic store and Japanese toy store, with lots of American action figures thrown in for good measure. If I had money and space to put everything, I would have walked away with a bunch of stuff. Here is just some of the loot I loved:
Injection model kit from Ghost in the Shell. It’s the sweet sweet.
Also went to Gamescape, 333 Divisadero Street last week. This is a game store through and through. Lots of minis, board games, war games, RPG books, and tables to play games. I am heading back on Wednesday to see if I can find some Heroclix or Star Wars minis players. I don?t have many of my game minis with me (ran out of room in the moving minivan and had to choose between my toys or appliances for the kitchen. Eating finally won out after much debate and arguing with my wife).
I will slowly check out the comic stores around town. Found three pure comic book stores already. I’ve had to cut down on buying comic books, but I will be picking up the Clone Wars comics when they start getting released in September. I’m a Star Wars junkie. I am wishing I had my Xbox 360 with me so I could play Force Unleashed.
Talk about a Grade Point Average killer…
